After recent buzz, I got a makita cordless impact driver; the 12V NiMH with magnesium castings one. This tool rocks! I use it all the time and only return to lugging the 18V dewalt when I need to drill something…
Also, I recently attended the LCD/PDP tradeshow in Yokohama (close to tokyo), Japan. Within about five minutes of the exhibition closing, the entire exhibit hall was filled with the clatter of makita cordless impact drivers! Seems like every other booth takedown worker had one!
Here’s an action shot from japan:

Love mine too. I get my bits from Mcfeeleys.com. These drivers really excel with square drive screws.

I get my driver bits from McFelleys also and I seem to break at least 1 a week.
The square drives? I just ordered the phillips so I can't say much on them but I have used the square drives and they are hands down better than the standard ones (insert any namebrand). The drives will strip eventually but never broke one, the standard square drivers break in an instant with the impact driver.
Dewalt makes a great bit- I'll get you the numbersBob
