Cordless pins broken flush with surface
I was replacing some mounding (on a work table)that had warped that I had fastened with a pin nailer. In trying to remove the pins some broke off at the surface. This is something I need to sand so I can new moulding. What are my options?

Depends; is the moulding hardwood or softwood. If hardwood I would probably grind off any metal protruding and reattach. Softwood is more forgiving. Pictures always help a response.
Its walnut. Pictures won't help because the remaining pins are surface flush. I had applied glue before pinning and when removing the molding it splintered and is leaving glued little bits of wood that need sanding before I have a flat surface to adhere the new molding too. What tool would I use for grinding? Obviously not a sander?
Use a nail set to get the pins below the surface.
With a sharp chisel, the right size, run with the grain to remove the glued waste.
Or, with the proper sized block, hand sand.
Do it right and it will be covered by your new trim.
