Hey gang,
My folks are giving their bathroom a facelift and I said I’d help out to keep the $ down…it’s the least I can do. Anything special I should know about attaching a Corian vanity top (sink basin and countertop piece) to the cabinet? Will wood screws split it? How about drilling for the faucet? Only countertops I’ve ever done have been kitchen laminates….dis new fangled stuff is confuzin! Why couldn’t they just ask me to frame a dog leg bastard hip or something easy like that?
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Attach it to the cabinet with silicone.
Drill the holes with a hole saw.

Keeping it simple...nice. Much obliged for the info.
I've put in about a dozen so here's a few suggestions:
1)Drill holes with a good all purpose hole saw, the newer the better
2)Don't use plumbers putty on the drain, the oils will eventually stain the sink. Use silicon
3) Use silicon again to attach top to cabinet, make sure to tell everyone not to use it for a day
Good luck.
Thanks flip, good tips...especially about the plumber's putty staining the basin....eeeks I'd have to hear about that FOREVER!
