Hi there,
I’m starting a new deck soon and wanted to see if anyone had any better/quicker framing design to meet the deck board pattern.
I was going to use double concealed skewed hanger for the ledger end
Key dimensions: –
Overall Size – 27′ x 20′
Deck width – 8′
Deck overhang – 0.5′
Deck height – 3′
Deck beams – 2×10
Deck joists – 2×8
Joists spacing – 16″
Deck posts – 6×6
Post spacing – 8′
Decking boards – Trex 1×5.5″
Let me know if anyone has any better ideas for corner frame.
Thanks

Only a couple of comments
Use brown tone PT 40% or better for all beams and joists
Apply Grace membrane to the tops of beams and joists and also at joist hangers if used
My preferred surface material is Azek. I think it stands up to the weather better and doesn't fade. But use a lighter color as all synthetic material soaks up the solar.
Any Simpson hardware you use should be stainless
Thanks for that. I'm actually going to be travelling in from UK to US to do this as my wife and her family are from the US. So I'm likely to be limited to what I can get from the nearby Lowes...
