Dad’s been doing some cleaning up in “his” room in the house lately. The other night he dropped off a couple of tools that he thought I might like to have.
The googles are made of leather. The lenses are glass, set in brass rings. I’ve never seen a set like this before.
The tape measure is an old Craftsman 50 footer. It says “Chrome Plated” on the case.
Never seen a tape measure quite like this one before. Just thought some of you might be interested in seeing them.

I have a couple of my dad's things. One or two old chisels, a watchfob.
He had a couple of tapes very much like that one only by Lufkin. I have a 100 footer that perhaps one day I'll pass on to one of my boys.

I have that same tape.

I guess it's not an uncommon tape after all. I have one too, but mine still looks brand new since I never use it.
I used to, but wore it out.

I too have a 100' tape like that that I used to use in foundation layout. Haven't used it in years and I know it's in the garage pile of tools somewhere.
The goggles are quite unique.
Love the old stuff.
I have that green tape, 100'.
It was my grandfather's.

We have the same tape.

Mebbe the goggles are from your dad's days as a superhero <G>

Just as long as it doesn't involve Spandex. I'd prefer not to see Boss in skin tight clothing. Seeing Dinosaur in that Speedo was enough trauma for one lifetime.
I think Ron would just have to don the goggles, bibs and all. Be better than that goalie mask that went around for centuries after Friday the 13th or whatever.A Great Place for Information, Comraderie, and a Sucker Punch.

If I have time and find the picture, I'll post the hand crank old drill press my mom keeps as kitch/art. It's really neat.
We used to also have a gigantic cresent wrench. It was about 3 feet long with an opening of about 3-4 inches. (hard to remember) Have no idea where it came from.
Well I still have the tape you gave me....come to think of it...I still have that bottle of Pepto Bismol you gave me too : )
