Hi there,
I would like to add cove ceilings to my living room, all the other rooms already have it exsisting. The house is 1915 with the ceilings lowered ( which I believe was coved and lowered in the sixties) therefore the cove is about a 10″ radius. My question is what is the best way to go about coveing ? I understand that you can only purchase 6″radius cove? Do I have to use sonnet tube with drywall edgingfor a crisp looking finshed line ? Any help and advice greatly appreciated .Thanks from Victoria B.C. Al
If sonnet tube isn’t the way to go( I may be way of base suggesting it) What would work the best ?

When I first started to read your post, and saw you want to build a cove ceiling with a 10" radius, I thought maybe I had posted this message. I also have a cove ceiling to build (well probably) and I want to frame it. It will also be 10".
I can recommend a book by George Collings http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0941936481/qid=1025654149/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-9245434-0696747.
It explains it pretty well. I'm just looking for the thoughts of someone who has done this and can help me avoid mistakes or give me some tips and tricks.
Can anyone help us?
