   Festool has a similar idea used on their Kapex mitresaw.  An angle copier that auto divides the cut in half.  You line up the laser guide to the line on the tool.   Works well!

   I love that! For $199.00 how can you not get one. I haven't had a Craftsman power tool in 20 years but I think I might get this one.

   I'm sure I'm way off base with this but..............

   There's something about turning the fence that aims the open end of the mitred pc (after/during cutting) right into the opening between the two fences.  Seems it would want to pull the pc into the opening.

   I seem to remember a tug of war (or clamping the pc down) when I've jigged up a mitrebox to cut way beyond a 45.

   And, are there positive stops when all you want is a common degree setting?   I don't think I noticed that on the video.

   I had to look at the video again to see what you were talking about.  Yes, it's installed upside down.  However, I had to replay this several times...........about 1:10 on it-the cut sure appears to be made properly to me for that 45'd inside corner.  The cove portion is cut longer than the top of the crown-however when the guy puts it up-the cut is opposite from what showed on the saw.............

   Trick photography?
