You don't have to sacrifice historical elements of a house in the name of energy efficiency.

if it's got any power, might actually be useful.
a cordless / hoseless palm nailer.
it's $100 ... I'd pay $50.

When I first saw the ad I thought it was one of those hammers you keep in your car to break the windshield in the case of an emergency-apparently not that.

Reminded me of my teco single shot palm nailer when I saw it, but battery operated instead of air, so power and number of shots available would be the question.I nominate CPX Paul to spend money on it and test it for us!

I'm betting it's a great idea that's "under-engineered".
I've never tried hooking my palm nailer to my little compressor ... wonder how long it'd have to cycle between nails. It has trouble shooting 15g's ... so thinking it'd not work.

How little is little?
I have a Bostich palm nailer hooked to el cheapo 6 gal, Porter Cable 135 psi - not even the 150 model. I does OK for the few nails I drive with the palm nailer - mostly for joist hangers. Doesn't seem to care if the pressure drops some.....

Oh, maybe not.....
JimNever underestimate the value of a sharp pencil or good light.

The baby Senco would just run continously - you are right, maybe not a good choice!

Look, just send me to my drawer. This whole talking-to-you thing is like double punishment.
I'll admit, I'm curious. I'm wondering who builds these for them. The 19.2v stuff is Ryobi, but that 12v looks Bosch.

Someone posted it about 6 months back. Apparently it's the same now as it was then -- everyone's waiting for someone else to try it first to see if it's any good.
tried the demo model on a 16...
best bet is to pre-drill a pilot hole and don't lean on it too hard....
drove 2/3 of the nail into 4x SYP and quit..
broke the second demo tool too... 4th nail...
BTW.. slow going...

As requested, one review.
Received one as a gift from my ever clueless sister. Total POS, would not drive 10p coated sinker into a 2x4 more then 2/3rds of the way, no matter how hard I leaned on it. It absolutely refused to drive a hanger nail more than half way in. You might be able to drive a 6p finish with it but that's why I have a selection of finish nailers.
I know it's the thought that counts and I love my sister, but I have never owned a less useful tool. I cant even sell it with a clear conscience.
sounds like the perfect gift for a young girl moving into her first apartment or house!
I know my wife had no idea how to operate a hammer till we met.
think of all the sunset and puppy pictures it could hang!
