Craftsman Finish Nailer ..started spraying mist of oil
My trusty Craftsman Finish Nailer….just started spraying a mist of oil…when I shoot a nail.
I think it is coming out the top.
First problem in 20 years!
Been oiling it same all these years…ocasionally 2-3 drops in the air intake at the start of the work day ( some days , I forgot).
Haven’t had time to deasemble it yet and look inside.
Any thoughts on what I should look for?
Thanks

The simple answer would be a rebuild kit. Seals and O-rings. Noticed any difference in depth of drive, misfire?
Any nailer will barf oil if you put too much in, but it sounds like you haven't done that. Does it sound any different?
I'm with Cal... it's probably a split or torn O-ring, so a rebuild kit should do it. I did my framing nailers; it's pretty simple. A kit for a trim nailer probably won't cost more than 20 bucks.
