As the title says, we have a few of those automatic vents that keep falling out of the brick despite new screws and flanges.  I think I need to remove the old silicone caulk someone smeared all over the brick, reinstall them but put silicone along the inside of the frame.  My other thought was to remove the old mortar and add new mortar that will allow the vents to properly fit.  This would need to be done by our brick mason as I’ve done a bit of damage to my shoulder.  Just wanted someone else’s opinion that’s got to be better than mine.
