The site they chose is about 100 feet above street level and several hundred feet from where they access the trail. They found and carried all their lumber to the site themselves. No adults have been helping them. This picture is taken from a bend in the trail.
Probably how most of us got our start!
I still remember humping scraps and cut offs deep into the woods.....the first tree house was maybe 15 ft down from the alley!
