I’m installing crown in a inset ceiling. 8 sides. The crown is the 52/38 degree crown. Does anyone know the compound angles for mitering. I have the angles for a 90 degree corner but can’t figure out the angles for this one. Other option is coping the corners. This might be best anyway. Anyone have any advice? Thanks.

set the crown against your saw fence as it will sit on the wall- attach an auxillery fence to your saw if necessary- cut it standing up. 360 degrees divided by eight divided by two will get your angles- test pieces- just takes patience
can't help you with a math solution- that's how I do it- always works out
