good evening, I am installing 52 38 crown molding in a square bathroom. I have done some research but I am at loss here.
The Crown molding is to high for my 8.5 sliding chop saw so I have to lay it flat and I plan on coping the material. I have had no luck finding the correct Miter Angle for an inside 90 degree angle. I thought I was in luck when I downloaded an angle chart but I believe the angle the chart is referring to is an outside 90 degree, not a inside 90degree. I tried a practice piece cut at 31.6 degree(based on the chart) but that leaves a gap at the top. Anyone have any suggestions?
Also, I am installing the 52 angle toward the wall and the 38 toward the ceiling, is this correct?
thanks

I had a question about crown moulding angled cuts a few months back. One gentleman who posts here sent me a link to his site. Check out josephfusco.com. Click on the "articles" link, and then the "cutting crown moulding basics".
Good Luck!
See if this helps...
...and the moulding is either 38 degrees or 52 degrees.
