Crown molding cuts for acute and obtuse

I am installing crown at angles greater than 90 degrees and less than 90 degrees.Doubling or halving the compound miter settings doesn’t give the correct angles.What’s the correct math in figuring these angles and is the saw capable of cutting the appropriate angle?

scale (take a degree reading) and divide by 2....
are you using a compound miter saw????
and yes the saw should handle up to 120 degree miters without jumping thru hoops...

Here is a link to a dewalt article containing a table of angles and instructions on how to cut crown. I didn't read the article, but the table is there. We have laminated copies of these tables that my guys carry around for all the crazy angles you see in commercial buildings.
