I used that brand inside my house and loved it:

I did the installation. This amount of product by no means makes me expert, but I can tell you that the product variety and detail are tremendous, and far superior to the competitors I've seen. It worked as advertised, and I would most certainly make the exact same choice if I had to do it again.
WOW!!! That is as beautiful work as I have ever seen!! Do u think the cultured stone would look as great as that on the outside of a house and how do u think it will hold up in cold weather??
Thanks.
I will defer to Owens Corning on exterior. I never really looked into how it'd do with freeze-thaw and UV. I _think_ it'd be fine, but don't take my word for it. I recall intending to put a bit outside, but got lazy (tired) and parged that section instead.
My goodness, these rooms are beautiful. They have such a light, spacious, good feeling to them. Did you design them as well as build them? Is it rude to ask where they were built and how much the house sold for. I am picuring Barbara Streisand, a Prince of Oil, or old monied mongrel owning them. /-)
Thanks! I design them rather than build them. Only one I've built is my own. We, too, love the light and spacious feel--far from the first, cave-like image that forms in people's head when they hear "dome." I have a thread in the photo gallery showing the construction of one. Have more of those coming up as some of my designs break ground. I'm hoping to make them familiar enough that the editors of FHB don't see them as quite so "esoteric" and approve an article on them one day.
