Hope to start installing cumaru decking next week. Supply says it is supposed to arrive on Tuesday (Nov. 23). How many days should it acclimatize to our local humidity levels before I state installing (Central NY)? I will be face screwing with trim head ss screws. Of course I hope it’s isn’t snowing but that is a seperate matter that we have no control over.
Thanks.

There is no need to acclimate exterior decking materials.
Hammer
I might just add that usually no acclimating is required, but in the case of T&G or real dry / wet decking and the time of year put down might make a difference in how tight you lay it. There have been tales of buckled decking and shrinkage they claim you could throw a cat through.
One should keep in mind that softwood framing will tend to shrink more than hardwood decking, meaning that the decking could buckle if installed tight. But any sort of normal deck board spacing should avoid this.
Well, they're bringing it in by submarine. 4 days gives time for the sea water to drain off.
