I would like to make a classic cupola for my workshop and am looking for books or other sources with info. on construction, installation and flashing etc.

The code requires installing an approved material to slow the spread of fire between floors and adjacent vertical and horizontal cavities — here are the allowed materials and required locations.

FHB had an article on cupolas a few years ago; seemed to be comprehensive. If "cupola" ever makes it to the top of my tro-do list, I'll be digging out that issue.
I haven';t explored the new site enough, but I'll bet there's a searcg engine here and it migh even work.
i've got a small collection of cupolas, just photos...
but i'm maxed out on posting space....Mike Smith
