Can anyone tell me the brand name of that flooring stapler the guy is using on the cover of FHBs current issue? I noticed how that particular tool doesn’t have the “usual” high handle as a lot of staplers do. That stapler must be able to get in a lot closer to the wall as compared to those staplers with the high handles?
Thanks guys
Paul

I don't know the answer to your question, but I don't think the handle has all that much to do with it. On my Porter Cable the handle is behind the plunger, and I am limited by the room to swing the mallet, not the space for the handle.

Yeah I just gave it more thought and agree with you. As soon as I saw the stapler on the cover I took notice of the absense of the long handle. I just wonder what model of stapler is the best one out there for getting in close to the wall.
thanks
My thought upon seeing it was that you'd be bent over even more with that setup. However, gave some thought to how it would be if you were placing boards and nailing while on your knees.

I'm guessing you know about using a face nailer for those last couple boards, right?
Senco 15ga. finish nailer (face nailing) works for me.
time was FHB had pics of real people doing real work and a picture was worth a thousand words, now everything is staged and you wonder why they ever bothered ..
I noticed the picture too. I also took note of the shorter handle and thought that it would also result in bending farther.
One possible reason to go with a short handle would be faster registration on the edge of the board to be nailed.
I know that with my long handled nailer, I couldn't slide it along the board with such a high grip. The high grip of mine forced me to place the nailer and fuss a little making sure it was solidly against the board and not skewed alittle. However I quickly got the hang of it.
