Hotwater baseboard radiator on a 1/2 round wall turned out to be more than a quick weekend project. The floor border is curly yellow birch with a cherry band between the carpet and hardwood. I resawed the best figured wood I had and milled it to the corresponding radius so the seams followed the curve giving it a true curved look. .Radiator cover is curly cherry, window trim is cherry. Radiator cover was resawn from one board and laminated in a vacuum bag.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

Nice,
Could you expand on that basebd cover. How did you take care of the heat concerns with the adhesive, the wood and the finish? If you had had curved sash, wow. Not to diminish your work, but that would have been the creme de la creme. Thanks for posting.

Calvin,
Fin tubes put most of the heat straight up. I did line the inside of the wood cover with roll aluminum to counteract what little heat did work out the side. I use unibond 800 glue, sets hard and is not affected by heat. I made sure the wood was at 6% or less before I started. The laminations are 3/32 face and back with a 1/8 baltic birch ply core. Finish is Sherwin Williams Kem-Var conversion varnish. I have made several wood radiator covers over the years and have not had a problem with the heat.
Really looks nice!
