I am looking for manufacturers for the curve beams. I live in Michigan.
Ever since March 2006 “Zero Energy” Home, I became fascinated with the curve roof.
Can anyone shine some light. Thanks.

I dropped my subscription to FH about three years ago, so I missed the article.
However, laminated beams can be ordered in custom shapes....very common in churches, lobbies of commercial buildings and some residential designs. I worked for awhile in a beam plant here on the West Coast years ago and saw a lot of amazing shapes layed up and finished.
I would assume there is a laminated beam plant in the midwest, but I'm sure if you do a google search for "Laminated Beam Manufacturers" you'll get some hits.
Of course, if you've got the shop room, you can lay up your own beams...but it takes a lot of clamps and glue and you might have some structural engineering issues...
Good luck.
