I am installing ceramic tile on a concrete stoop, and need to cut off an commercial aluminum door so it will clear the new tile. Is there any special trick to cutting an aluminum door? I bought a metal blade for my circular saw and was told to wax it before cutting. Is there any other concerns not associated with normal doors? I am doing this in about 6 hours, so any help would be appreciated.

Peter, I've not cut an aluminum door, but a lot of aluminum stock. Usually a real good wood blade will give the best results. If that blade you bought doesn't act like its right, don't use it- try a carbide crosscut with plenty of teeth.
*Agree with Lonecat....ear protection and safety glasses..you can also plane it with your electric plane ( set fine)
