I need a blade to cut bricks on a MK-100 10inch wet tile saw. Believe it or not, I read the instruction book and it said all blades “MUST” be smooth and continuous. I called the company and they said you can use a segmented blade for brick on this machine. Anybody know of problems using a segmented blade on a tile saw? Also anybody use the dry abrasive (cheap) blades on this saw? I usually cut tile and do not do much brick work so I am not too excited to spend $150 on a blade.
THanks

You want cheep?
$ 1/2 angle grinder with a diamond blade @ $35. score all four sides as deep as the blade will go then strike with a hammer.

Spendthrift! For $6 you can get a HF blade.
I,ve cut 1000's of brick concrete pavers with tile saw, it was a goldblatt don't see how it would matter. I say cut away.
I did a fake fireplace and sliced fire brick into 1/2" pieces the long way for the fire box liner. Cut like butter with a regular diamond continuous.
That's because the blade is trained to cut hard sh!t and it doesn't know it's on a tile saw....it can't read.....it just knows that when it starts spinning and starts getting a little shower, it's time to get busy.
(steel plate or glass may kill it, though. It relies on YOU to do the right thing).
