just wondering how many still cut crown on the flat ,
i have tried to cut crown nestled against the fence with stops but seems way to slow ?
and i have stops in the way if i have to share the saw with somone else
the reason i ask is everyone sells crown stops now are they worth the money
and i am thinking of gwtting the kapex mitre saw maybe that would work better for cutting crown nestled
i have several others but i always grab my 8 1/2 ‘ dewalt works great and no blade deflection

I cut in position most of the time . Flat when it's called for.
I work alone . My cutting bench allows a clamped down continuous stop . Never used crown stops.
If other work is beingz done, get another saw out or pull the stop.
I used the kapex today ,had to cut some returns ,they flyaway ,I know sub fence ,but i have never had to do this .
i had to cut some larger newl posts today aswell ,how the heck do ya keep the guard up with your fingers and cut ?it just got in the way
I am still on the fence about buying one ,i tried to use the laser it would take me awhile to use it i think but to set up for odd angles i could see that laser being perfect ,
i love the track saw, sander and dust extractor .trying to love the kapex

Flying pcs?
Did you cut and retract the blade carriage? The few times I had it happen, I didn't let the saw slow down,I just cut and let the blade up or pulled back on the carriage. I would now cut, let the blade slow down and have had no problems
Blade guard problem-I've had the rubber dust shield get in the way, but never the retractable blade guard. Can't help you there.
If you looked at the laser and saw how crisp the line was and how it hugged the blade, I wonder why you wouldn't think to use it all the time. It didn't take me long to like it and now I seldom creep up on the cut or have to recut.
Of course, after you spend the 1300.00, it's easier to love something..........................
