I am building a covered porch, and am using for the first time polyvinyl posts. These post have a steel post in the middle of them. The bottom of the post will have a trimflair piece but the owner doesn’t want any trim piece at the top. These post will need to be cut to size. what is the best way to cut these posts so as to get a nice clean cut look.

How thick is the steel inside?
I've cut these two ways.
Use a skil saw with a finish blade to cut through the vinyl w/o hitting hte AL core, finish with a fine tooth metal blade in a sawzall.
Cut all the way through with a 12" miter saw and an 80 tooth blade. AL cuts decently with woodworking tools.

Mark all sides and walk the cut around with a sawzall to the line, finish by cutting the tube. Use a long metal cutting blade, and it takes all of two minutes a post.
You could beltsand to puff, but the trick is to fit the top bracket.
