My house is 60 years old. I have some minor seepage leaks in the concrete floor of my unfinished basement, near the block walls in one corner. The leaks happen within 24 houre of a heavy rain. The concrete floor is painted. Several years ago I troweled a product called DamTite over the leaks and it did a great job in stopping most of the water. The product I used was a powder which I mixed with water to the consistancy of morter mix. I wanted to apply more of this product but have not been able to find it any more. Does someone know of a similar product which will work? Incidently I have already adjusted the drainage and downspouts above ground as much as possible.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

Dam Tite is what's known as hydraulic cement. It's available as such under different brand names.

Look at Thoroseal products and a product marketeed by them called Waterplug. Your local block supplier should carry it or get it fairly quickly.
*Thoro is the product that is most likely to do the job for you. They have an extensive line of products, so talk with the person at the builder's supply to make sure you are ordering the right stuff for your job. There is a wide line of products that have entered the waterproofing market the last few years, but most seem to require clean (unpainted) concrete.
*Thoro Waterplug is a brilliant US-made material that we've used here in England for ages but remember that you're treating the symptoms. The water is in there with you and you are trying to dam it up in the wall structure - it may in time just work it's way along if you can't tackle it from the outside.Incidentally the hydraulic cement works best in a square or undercut chase rather than slapped on the wall face. Good luck!
