I’m finishing my basement and there are a few areas that, to make the story short, can only be insulated with spray foam. I tried the DAP 15 system and it was a colossal failure. I coughed up the cash and bought the DAP Touch n’ Foam 200 system that uses higher pressure tanks. That worked really well for about a quarter of the tank but then something went wrong. Even though I was religious about changing tips if I dwelled too long, something in the gun clogged and stopped spraying part A. As a result, all of the foam melted and left a messy, sticky, nastiness in places I can’t reach to try to clean up. This happened on a Sunday afternoon. Monday I called DAP and gave them an earfull. They said that if it was less than an hour passed, I could probably spray new stuff over the top of the old stuff. but now it’s been more than 24 hours and there’s no way I’m going to get it off. What’s your experience? Will it harden eventually so I can spray new over the top of it? will it stay sticky? It’s sprayed on EPS foam which will dissolve with acetone so I can’t go that route. What can I do?

*Update*
I took the foam kits back to HD and they gave me a full refund no questions asked. I bought a new kit and sprayed over the old wet resin. Everything seems to be sticking fine. It frothed up and cured like I'd expect it to.
