What’s the consensus on deck material? Cedar vs Mahogany vs composite vs plastic/vinyl.
I think composite looks pretty awful (might as well be plastic), which sort of outweighs the low maintenance feature. But how much care does cedar really need to keep looking good?
EON decking is plastic, but looks alot better than composite. Does anyone love or hate this product?

Go with Ipe. It is a very, very dense,dark grained wood from SA. Buy it from Lumber Liquidaters as you cannot beat their price.
hey littlejohn. I just Googled <ipe wood>. Spend some time looking at the first couple of sites at least. I've never seen IPE but it looks like pretty good stuff. I don't know if the blurb about rainforests is true (pretty doubtful I think) but I think that may be the stuff we can use. There's a LumberLiquidators store listed in Colonie. Check their site for the address. I'd kinda like to touch the stuff before buying.
