Good morning All,
I could use a little advice concerning Deck/porch stairs.
I have built a front entrance deck allowing a 60″ width for stairs with a 25″ elevation run from deck level to ground level . Should I build the stairway with stringers or box the stair steps ? I would like to keep the tread count to 3
Any advice ??

Ringo, The three treads in 25" will give four risers of 8-5/16" each. That is a bit high for comfort and safety so you want to raise the ground level there an inch or so.
you don't anme the climate for use.
Around here, we get a lot of frost heaves to deal with so we dig out about 18" down at the landing to put in gravel or peastone, and leave that bare or top it with bluestone or granite there on the ground.
The step set, we build with stringers which are cut to seat on a 2x10 PT on ground level, and the top of each stringer has a strap hinge so that the heaving that might happen does not doisconnect them, but the set will lift slightly at bottom and the top swings up a bit
