Wow.
I didn't know it was possible to build something like that, let alone get it insepected.
Holy Moly!!!!!
Where is this?
http://grungefm.com
not sure the web site is in fox valley IL.
the arch was not an architect just claiming he was for 10 years and had built a lot of buildings.
it seemed the real carpenters managed to build home that stood up from his plans. the deck job was handed to the vinyl sideling installer to build the deck. he followed the plans.
the building inspector signed off on the deck before the stairs fell off the deck. after the stairs fell off he told the vinyl siding person how to fix stairs and deck after the stairs fell off the deck. then building inspector signed off on the repairs.
because of the bad siding guy ineptness at building deck and stairs they caught the self licence architect.
i found the site from a design forum where they were talking about licence architects.
they caught the self licence architect
Great when the 'chickens come home to roost'. Goodness knows what other abortions are out there, but this must be the worst I've ever seen.
A customer told me on a previous house her steps had collapsed - the builder said "your fault, you shouldn't have walked on them"! Mind you, he was in good company - when a disgruntled HO told FLWright that his roof leaked ( a fairly common occurence with his designs, apparently), FLR replied "that's how you know it's a roof".
Makes you wonder about the BI, too, eh.All the best...
To those who know - this may be obvious. To those who don't - I hope I've helped.
