Ok, maybe I don’t understand how this web site works or perhaps my previous post just did not make it through. At any rate I will try it again.
Within the past two to four years I saw a magazine article which provided a method of cutting shingles (siding) so as to build a decorative design into the siding. I believe the particular article showed flying ducks or gesse. Or maybe that is just my desired pattern for my home.
Does anyone recall see such an article in FineHomebuilding or any other magazine? If so what magazine and which issue?
Many thanks.

Yes it was in FHB. I think that it was in the last 2 years.
Go to the FHB web page and then the Index on the right side and you can search for it.
Thank you very much. At least I am on the right track with thinking of FHB. However, I have looked at the index, and it is difficult to come up with search words that cover this unique subject.
I will take a second look in the index.
