Hey Guys,
Quick “poll”…I own a Bosch SDS Max Roto Hammer that I love for drilling holes in concrete etc., but I also find the need to rent the typical small (~35lb) electric jackhammer/demo hammer for digging footings in clay, fence posts, etc. I have been somewhat leery of using the roto as a jackhammer although I know it has the hammer only mode because I am afraid that may be a little rough on it. I was thinking of investing in a true demo hammer and quit renting, or am I being silly and should I just use the roto. Anyone have a similar situation?
Thanks!

I've had a milwaukee demo hammer that has been an excellent tool for me. Very powerful and durable. I don't know the model off hand.

Don't be scared! Those are all good brands and as long as you use them for what they are intended for, they should work just fine. I used a Bosch Bulldog SDS the other day, and was quite impressed.
