I know some of you are doing design work. I am doing more and more these days. Use to do desgn /build. Still do construction but have been asked to do design work for things I wont be building, small addtions and houses, etc.

You want to start with a visit to your lawyer and insurance agent to see how that ground plows in your state. Hanging a shingle as a draftsperson instead of designer can avoid some of the liabilities, I would suppose.
AIBD membership can be helpful.
