I finished up a desk/bookcase system this weekend. Turned out great and the customer is happy.
I started a thread a while ago about making shelves in a corner. I ended up putting a 1/4″ oak spline between the shelves. Plus the shelf that’s a little more “free” hanging is supported from the back and the back panel is 1/2″ instead of just a 1/4″ thick. I wouldn’t stack it full of encyclopedia’s and I told the customer that, which they were Ok with.
I’m proud of the light (I still need to hide the cord though). The light slides out about 4-5″ to go over the work area. When it’s closed, you can’t even tell that the front rail is split.
Bought the doors and drawer fronts. First time I’ve done this, always made my own in the past. I’ll never make another door as long as I live. They look great, specs were met perfectly and it was pretty much cheaper to buy than to make.
Feedback and comments are deffinitely welcomed.

Looks very nice.
Very nice. The corner shelves are a nice touch.
Who did your fronts? How about the d'boxes? I see you are in Chicagoland, so WalzCraft might have been an option for you.
Didja ever consider using undermounts? Blum, Grass, and Mepla all make nice ones. The Grass softclose ones run about $20 per drawer, when sourced from True32.
The light arrangement might have been done as a shallow drawerbox, with a coiled cord running behind and through. What the heck, though. All those wires from the PC setup will help make the cord look like part of the spaghetti.

Thanks!
Doors and drawer fronts from CabinetDoorShop.com
All said and done with packaging and shipping it was $380 for all 13 pcs.
Boxes by me - I still like to make those.
I'll keep True32 as a resource. I haven't tried undermounts yet, maybe I'll do that next time. I like how easy the side mounts are to put in.
With the light, I wanted to keep the front rail the same height of 1.25". Also wanted to hide the light as much as possible. I still need to clean it up a little and the monitor is already in place and the cord is pretty much hidden.

What is this True32 that you speak of?
Always looking for a cheaper source for hardware.

Go there and see, Doug.
It is a company that sells software, offers training, and sells supplies, all addressing smaller cabinet shops doing frameless cabinetry.
Go to their home page, use the "supplies" link, and see what you need.
What are you paying for Blum Tandem undermounts with Blumotion?

To damn much! I'll have to check and see for sure.
I'll check out the place, thanks

Very nice indeed!
That is really nice. Husband has been making doors and shelves for a customer's wrapping station! These are hickory and cherry. He hates hickory! He says the same thing about doors, but this customer wants everything custom made.
