Workmate maxed out the keyless chuck on mw cordless and drove screws allday.Now I cant get the chuck to close no matter how hard I grip it.Any suggestions on how to loosen jaws again?

Ken, I've got a Bosch/Skil with the same prob...Pipe wrench channel lock combo, have to do it every time, tho...

*Ken,I had that problem with my 18v Dewalt. Took it to the tool repair shop, they replaced the chuck with a $45 jacobs. Dewalt considers occasional rubbing against drywall to be "abuse" so doesn't cover the chuck replacement.Moral-don't let your chuck rub against anything, it will go and go...I've beat the bejeezus out of that drill since then. Use it every day. No further problems.MD
*Ken... I had the same problem with my 18 volt Dewalt.I used channel locks pipe wrench trick for a while then one day I noticed there is an allen screw in the chuck..it has a left hand thread ...turned it a few turns (to tighten?) ...solved my problem,works like a new one now.
