I have about 1200sq ft of pannelling to do in a hurry on my own,I could hire a airless Passlode or I could buy either a Dewalt or Passlode airgun for the same price, What would be the better option?

You don't have to sacrifice historical elements of a house in the name of energy efficiency.

Joe Carola could answer this question better than me. I believe he has both guns. I have the DeWalt, but it doesn't shoot the clipped headed nails. I have the 21° nailer. I like everything about that gun, but sometimes if you leave a strip of 8d nails in the rain, they jam the gun. Jams are easy to clear though. I would probably buy this gun again unless something better came along. I've been quite happy with the DeWalt.
I should have added that i mean finish nailer ie. 2-21/2in nails. purchased the dewalt today, will use it tomorrow unless there are somr horror stories about it.

You know after I replied, I thought I might have misunderstood you.
We have the DeWalt finish nailer too. We mostly do framing, but we trimmed a house last year and didn't have a gun. We bought the DeWalt. We use it for putting in pine ceilings and soffits, shoot on exterior window drim and cornerboards. I think you will really happy with that gun.
