A cabinet maker friend of mine just gave me a Dewalt 7790 12in radial arm saw. I checked it out on-line and found out Dewalt stopped making radial arm saws in the US in 1985. Is there something wrong with this saw?

B. Naff...Nothing wrong with the saw. They just stopped making them. Just got One myself... for free!!!. Soon as I can find it I'll send the address so you can get all the updates. The guy told me It's a great saw; just that Dewalt don't make radial saws anymore. Also said when I get mine in service, it sells for about $1600.00! Post ya soon. Bill D. Quality Wood Chips.
*Just make sure its not a Delta 12" radial arm in disguise. They have a bad motors.
*That DeWalt is one of the best Radial Arm Saws in the business. It is 2HP and 12" and 220v and made of solid cast iron, as opposed to stamped steel.I have seen these saws go as high as $1,000!Your saw is a terrific saw and you have a great friend.
*The old Dewalt saws are still available from Wolfe machinery. Their website is http://www.wolfemachinery.com. They service/recondition all the old Dewalt saws.
*And The Orginal Saw company still makes them.http://www.originalsaw.com/
