Ok, this is a bad week for me and nail guns. I made, for me, a large
investment in 2 hoseless nail guns: the Hitachi framing gun and the DeWalt trim gun.
Brian helped me by telling me that the Paslode stuff fits. Unfortunatly, I have never bought the gas for them and first bought the wrong cartridges. Fix that.
Now, the DeWalt gun isn’t operating correctly. It did fire off a few shots, but now all I get is the light on and the motor operating. It will not shoot in either mode, single shot or bump fire.
Is there something I am missing? I wanted to use this on a trim job Monday.
And, by the way, did I make a good purchase or is the Paslode trim gun the way to go?
Thanks for any help.
Glenn

Pasload is tried and true. Hitachi is a good tool I'm sure, but they are ripping off the pasload whos patent has just expired on the fuel cells. This is what the pasload guy told me anyway. I happened to be wearing my "big guns" t-shirt when i bumped into him, so he gave me a handfull of pencils and a can of cleaner, can't beat that!
Take the battery out and recharge it.I missed the part where you said the motor was running.Check and see if the nails are hung up by opening the front and reloading.

The nails come right to the front. The same thing happened the other night but I thought I fixed it, I just don't know how.Today it fired a few shots but now just motor and light, won't fire at all.
Is it still under warranty?
Do you have a Dewalt service center close?
Is the safety lever possibly open or broke?
Mine has been very reliable about my only difficulty has been the racks of nails being a little stiff and breaking the strip loading it but not a big deal.
I have shot at least 10000 nails so far without cleaning or lubing.

PS; IS it an angled or straight 16 gauge or a new 15 gauge?

Brand new, no warrantee problem.Haven't checked where the nearest service center is.DeWalt isn't open to call on weekends. Not the safety swicth. Tried that. I wouldn't get any action at all if that were on.Yes, the nails go in a little stiff.Angled 16. Might pick up a Bosticth Trim Pro for my PC 15 gauge for hanging doors, but wanted this in a 16. Like a smaller hole sometimes and the 15 occasionally splits casing at the jamb.Plus, I got this on Ebay and no had the 15.Thanks for your help. I was just hoping it was something I'm missing so that I could use this tomorrow. And show off.Glenn
