Whattheehell is Tool Guide Magazine?
Joe H
They have been touting it for months.
Don't you read <G>.
http://www.taunton.com/store/pages/nmtg01.asp
I think that it is going to be out in next month.
I haven't heard the touting but thanks for the heads up. Looks like maybe an anual thing? or bimonthy like the rest?
Anyway the issue linked is 9.95 and after looking at the table of contents and the sample article, it looks almost more like a book. Think they might get another tenspot from me.

Hey Piff, maybe you could offer to do a book review for the magazine, and get a free copy. Ten bucks is ten bucks. Do you also suppose that the tool book will include suggestions of magazines as a good tool that everybody should have available. Just wondering?
Dan
HanleyWood did not buy the Taunton Press. They're one of our chief competitors.
The Tool Guide is an updated, re-edited republication of tool articles that have run in both FHB and FWW. So, while you might recognize some of the stuff that's in there, we've made sure that the tools are current models, and where needed, we've taken the newer models out for a spin.Andy Engel, The Former Accidental Moderator

<p>
So it's not for democrats? That means you probably only tested right-handed versions of tools, and nothing for the left.
<p>
Here's a serious thought, though.....what do lefties (I'm one) do for the odd "handedness" of tools? How many leftie tools are there? Stinks to buy a tool that obviously built only for righties be/c the safety button is right where your palm presses against it when using it left handed. Or contour grips that are only good with one hand. I'll stop before I get on a rant.
Is this book a response to the questionaire that was sent out about 6 months ago. I thought it was a poor quality tool power questionaire. It didn't seem to recongnize many of the different brands and models of tools on the market. Too basic for a FW/FH "gotta buy that one". Alot of the tools I own (believe me, I have lots of tools) didn't even make the survey
Same here...
It was rigged..
They're practicing getting into polotics...
Who ever invented work didn't know how to fish....
Imerc and migraine: I can guarantee you that it wasn't rigged. Imperfect? Probably. We've never done this before. But rigged? Never. I'd love to continue this conversation in greater depth to learn exactly what you thought was missing. We can do it here, or I invite you to email or call me (800-926-8776x3420).

Annual, Bubba, it's an annual thing.
Imposible to do a bimonthly tool magazine. Impossible.
Curse you for even muttering it, now erase that before anyone from Taunton reads it.Dan MorrisonOne happy assistant editor
OK
Listen up you guys, Strike that from the record. Consider it never said.
The Tool rag will never be more than an anual issue. After all, how often do you buy tools anyway? And the generational life cuycle of tools isn't any better than about eighteen months, like computers, anyway. Besides, if taunton did a bi-monthly tool rag, they would have to have a whole cadre` of tool users to test them and report on their honest opinions. Where would they ever find such a group?
;)
So Dan, How did I do?
Am I forgiven? Huh?.

You did good Paul
