Hi All- I’m specifying wall plates and dimmer switches for new residence here in California and I would really like it if the electrician told me what a great choice I made (it has been known to go the other way). In the past I’ve worked with lighting designers and I’ve often been puzzled by what looks like a combination of lutron and leviton parts. Leviton has the Decora line and Lutron has the Diva line. Both these lines seem to make wallplates and the switches themselves. The residence is contemporary and the switches and outlets will likely not be white (many rooms have wood paneling). Some kind of paddle switch seems preferable but I also noticed Leviton makes a touch dimmer. Does this work okay? Is it a lot more expensive? Does anyone have an opinion on who makes an elegant dimmer for a reasonable price. I remember in the old days you had to worry about a dimmer buzzing or disturbing radio signals. Is that no longer a concern? Any help is much appreciated. It would be great if we could specify everything from one source (Leviton or Lutron for example). Any help is greatly appreciated. Regards, Mike

My Lutron RadioRa dimmers don't disturb radio signals ... they MAKE radio signals.
Seriously, the Lutron product is really great, even if the screwless wall plates are a bit on the expensive side compared to Leviton. The dimmers are A-1.
