Disposal backing up in second sink=Help!

Can anyone tell me if there is a special way to put the garbage disposal on a 2 basin sink without having the crud back up in the second sink? For some reason it is building pressure as the disposal empties and spits back into the sink
How should they be connected so they empty properly? Both sinks into the disposal then tothe main line?
Thanks for any help

hook up the outlet on GD in a primary configuration and the 2nd to let in as the secondary...
boost the drain size to 2"... tie in the GD into the 2" and reduce to 1-1/2" for the tail pipe for the 2nd basin above the GD tap...

Did you tie both drains together under the sink with a tee? Does that tee have a baffle in it? If it doesn't, there's the problem.
I have no tee or baffle --This is why the water backs up in both the sink and disposal? Do I need both or just one?
If you don't have a tee I think I see your problem: There are three connections -- GD, second sink, and drain pipe. Without a tee one of the three is missing.(Actually, I assume you have some sort of tee or wye. The problem with a GD is that it slings the water (and other stuff) out with considerable velocity, and that causes the water (and stuff) to keep moving in a straight direction, vs following gravity downhill to the drain. An improperly configured tee with no baffle results in the output of the GD being "rocketed" right up the drain of the second sink.)

I have a veggie sink that is 3" higher than the bottom of the regular sink where the GD is attached and there is a wye that goes to a pipe to the left of the sinks that goes to the main.
I am concerned with the depth of the new sink that this is also causing the GD to be so much lower than it used to be with my older sytle double basin. Do you feel with a baffle my problem will still be solved? I dont want to have to do this again
thanks again
Does this happen all the time or only when you put a heavy load thru the disposal?
Continual feed or batch feed?
Try doing smaller loads and see if the situation improves.
Having been there a few times I would suggest changing the piping to have one trap per sink and this keeps all the pipes at their max size. The divider in most tees reduce the pipe size so much it causes clogs and big slow down of the drain waste.
