DIY country bumpkin

going to redo 30yr old deck system, anyone have an opinion on sonotubes vs typical box footer pads as the foundation of each column.  Aside from obvious calculations for load , any thoughts on which is better or more efficient?   Thank

    Sonotubes will be much faster and easier and cheaper.
