Anyone here done it? Experiences or recommendations? I’m really ticked at the local guy… who I actually know quite well. Gave him the info on what I wanted, he gave me a price I said sounded fine and now three weeks later I’m still waiting to see a layout and he hasn’t returned either of two phone calls. I’m in the wrong business.
Anyway, seems like there are places online that are less than half the retail price but…
TIA

Course, it would have to be in some old world font with the German national colors for a fellow from your 'hood.
Seriously, you might check with Dieselpig. I seem to remember that the lady that did his logo also did some truck lettering and had some nice looking stuff.
If you need any help on that front - layout, fonts, etc. give me a shout.
I do mine on the internet
truck signs, bb?
Could you tell me who, or a link? Much obliged...PaulB
Thanks Steve, will do.
You coming to visit?PaulB
Hoping to. The boss has a new client and she's got to sell them on the idea of sending her to the conference. If she's going, I'm there.
Cool... just let me know. An EzSmart tutorial, and a nice steak dinner await ;)PaulB
Sounds great. I'll be in touch tomorrow about the trip. Looks like it's on.Here's the company I was talking about earlier. Not DIY, but maybe it gives you some ideas?http://www.graffitiworks.com/
3M make a film to go on the inside of glass but you can print on in your printer, if you have room you could do this until your pro signs arrive.
Thanks Nigel, but I need something for the sides, back etc of the truck...PaulB
I didn't do the lettering but did do the numbers on my trucks. It is really not hard, you just have to make sure the initial alignment is right and then pull the backing off at the same time laying the decal down on the door. Like the old tinted window kits without windowcleaner. If I didn't have such a good sign shop I would give it a shot. DanT
For very basic stuff use the lettering sold for boats. It's pretty durable and sticks real well.
I was going to say check the marine supply store both brick and on line.
The have cad cutting machines, lettering comes out on a sheet reversed, you just press and apply. Very simple.
BTW, got the saw, thanks a lot!yourcontractor@aol.com
