Do Beams in Garage need to be covered with Fireproof Drywall ?
There will be a second floor above the garage space. There will be Beams supported by Jack Posts to support the 2nd Floor. I can’t tell by the code if I will need to enclose the beams in fireproof drywall, or will attaching the Fireproof Drywall to the 2nd Floor Joists be sufficient?
Thanks all.

You should enclose the beams in 5/8" fire-rated drywall, AND jack posts are viewed as temporary supports. Check with your building inspector regarding jack posts...
There are two Jack posts (aka Steel Columns) that are supporting the current 1st Floor of the house, and they have been there since 1985 and we have a C of O.
