Recently joined facebook, thought of it as some sort of myspace thing, and wasn’t interested. But, at the urging of friends, I joined. Still learning the ins and outs, but noticed I can put up a business page for free. Anyone here doing this? How do you like it?

I filled out the info last night while I had the time, My wife is big on that kind of stuff so I am waiting on her to pimp it out .
How do you get a business page? I have a standard account but i'd like to do what you suggest.
Is there a button you have to hit, or did you just make a page for your business seperate from a personal one?

IIRC I was looking at my profile page and at the very bottom it asked if I wanted a business page. From what I've read, you have to do a personal page first, that is how you mange both the business and personal. If you have a problem, get back to me and I'll find it on my page and post a link if I can.Just checked, go to profile page to bottom and click on "About" then to bottom of page again and you'll see the business page thing.

I found it. Follow Docs advice. Press "about" at the bottom of your own page. Then scroll all the way down to the bottom. It'll seem like you've gone too far but then you should see it.

I believe that is for paid advertising, the business page I was referring to is free. Probably not a bad idea to have both, if cost is reasonable.

I asked a question similar to this about a year ago IIRC. Everyone said no way too unprofessional. Things have come a long way in a short time.
I have a personal facebook with many pics of the houses we build. I will look into this business page! I make sure my page isn't too personal though, my friends all behave themselves.
