does anyone remember this thread…

fourquarter | Posted in General Discussion on April 11, 2008 05:39am

I’m pretty sure there was a thread somewhere in here that had photos of questionable safety practices such as this. http://forums.taunton.com/n/mb/at.asp?webtag=tp-breaktime&guid=836E1521-2043-478F-A4A1-55A2B520C37D&frames=no Can’t find it, but would love to.

Thanks,

KH

    Whats wrong?

Should the orange ladder be on top? That seems like it would be less stable!

What's wrong????  There should be a third person holding the smaller ladder so that it won't wiggle when the guy with the hedge clippers reaches up to trim near the power lines.

Compliments of the http://safetycenter.navy.mil/ website. Where they have a safety picture of the week. Or is that unsafe picture of the week.

I think he just stayed at the top of the rig while his buddy drove the truck to the next light! It looks like they took into account the flex necessary for the structure to survive off road travel.

I love the El Paso fridge one. Here's one I took yesterday of an electrician buddy of mine. We were doing a teller line remodel I did the undercounter and alarms. His company did the electric. I didn't pay much attention to what was going on until I heard him and another guy trying to find a breaker by touching wires together trying to trip the circuit. I looked up and he was standing on an aluminum ladder arcing the neutral and hot together trying to get the breaker to trip. It wouldn't. I then offered to take his picture with my cell phone to show his girlfriend his last moment alive. He grabbed his wiggy and they went about it the proper way except for the ladder. His was already put up and he didn't want to bother. (I would have) The bad thing about it is the guy that he was working with is teaches an apprentice program. True it's not a safety program. But he should at least set an example.

I think they had already loaded theirs up when they remembered it. He just grabbed it without thinking or thought ,it won't hurt just this once. You know I was all over his ####.  It was just one of those times when it could have turned into a What the F were they thinking moment had he got lit up.
