Beautiful. Not my style but I liked every detail in the pictures - nice house. Looked at the pictures again.....beautiful.
What does this situation in my life ask of me?

Boy, keep 'em coming, Bruce. Question: what's the little wall in the bed room? And is the foundation veneer slate?Nice touches everywhere...I can understand why you can't afford a bigger tee vee<G> "what's in a name?" d'oh!
It is nice . Damn nice .
I like the rock wall or what ever it is by the walk. Heck I liked it all but the wall I had not seen before.
Tim
Little wall? Hmm. I guess you mean next to the lamp on the bed table? It does two things. It helps create an eight foot long hall inside the bedroom, which gives it kind of an intimate feeling as you enter. It also recesses the head of the bed into a sort of alcove, including the deep soffit overhead. Humans like that security thing, and tucking into that alcove is naturally more comfortable thatn just sleeping under an open 9' ceiling.
You're obviously not up on the new trend to retro style TV's ....
Yeah, the TV that filled the hole just ate it one day a while back; no replacement yet.Bruce
Between the mountains and the desert ...
Yeah, that's slate outside the door. Also used it in the entry hall, kitchen backsplashes, powder room floor, and both fireplaces.Bruce

Looks great! Either you or the misses should be commended on the decor. Well done.
Doug
Nice work. everything looks well thought out and well done.
One question- does you really live there? it looks too neat and clean<G>
Others have said it. Very nice work indeed. Thanks for sharing those pics. Job well done and much deserving pats on the back to everyone involved.I get paid to do carpentry. That makes me a professional.
If I work on my own house does that make me a DIY?
Bruce,
Can you post some bath pics... and a few more kitchen.
Good contrast, the living room fire place is great.

Portland ... great town. Compact, friendly, beautiful. Lived up in Castine for two years, and loved it. We actually tried to get back to Maine, but the jobs weren't happening.
I'll get some more pics up, but it'll probably be a few days. The bathrooms will be tough since I don't have a real wide angle lens. I don't believe in creating extra space just for giggles, so the bathrooms are "intimate" but very workable. Some people might call them small.Bruce
