The most common way to make your own parging mix is to use either Type S mortar for block or Type N for brick and add a concrete bonding additive.

Heck, my MIL had that for 50 years. Only in her case the "rework" was apparently accomplished with a dull bowsaw.
LOL.I used a bandsaw.
That's the first time I saw that idea!
I'll remember that one.
Thanks!

Hi Mike, glad you like it.Here is my curve form. :o)
what would you have done in the winter? :)
Get it really wet and flash steam it! ;o)
Man you are too much like me. I had to make a "Ski Launch" at the bottom end of a pecky cypress stair rail...where it would meet a newel.I used my van spare tire and strap clamp to laminate the curve..LOLSpheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Yup. Dunked twice in the rain barrel and strapped to a stove... sounds like a good discipline program. <g>

I used two layers of 1/4" luan ply for this. The first layer was stapled to the edge of the drawer bottom. The second layer was ripped narrower and stacked on top of the drawer bottom and I stapled through the bottom into this layer. Using this method the two layers had two courses of fasteners at 90* angles to one another. The layers were also glued and clamped to each other.
This is where we separate the dedicated from the "get 'er done" guys...like me. That drawer front would become a face, in less time than it took me to type this...LOL.

This is by the hour work for a customer who wanted as much usable space as possible. I don't argue... much.
Hey...in that case, I bow to your creative problem solving abilities...heh heh heh.
Well, for "get er done" the bowsaw seems like the way to go.

I also bow to your bowsaw.
After all, is the "get 'er done" method really worth pursuing on a forum dedicated to "fine homebuilding"?
Although it seems that, in this case, our intrepid advocate for drawer space has made the most of the financial rewards presented by the project. ;-)

would you charge them by-the-hour for an argument? :^)
John,I've learned that I lose most arguments with this homeowner, but since her wishes generally take more time, I would lose money by winning arguments and lose money wasting time by arguing... so I just say "Yes ma'am, I can do that... and it will only take a couple more hours." And I shut up and get to work. :o)Mums the word,Bass
I've sen a similar system at a high end kitchen center.
The whole underside of the kitchen sink cabinet would do the same thing, and the drawer would be shaped around the G disposal and plumbing trap.

Look, just send me to my drawer. This whole talking-to-you thing is like double punishment.
I've heard that may be a "Blum" thing.
It's just a really big drawer, so you could do it with anything... but those BluMotion slides are sweeet.

I did a drawer cutout like that in our master bath. A couple of days later my wife absent-mindedly opened the drawer and tossed something in, only to have it fall through the cutout and hit her in the foot.
Yup. It was my fault.
LOL. Sometimes you can't win.
I have a similar relationship with my DW. Whenever there's a difference of opinion we talk it over until we can both agree that I was wrong. :)BruceT
REALLY cool. we're right in the middle of firming up the bathroom plans now, and this just got on the list.
Here is a pic of the cutout and a detail of the layered corner joint:

Looks like this might make the K&B issue of FHB... remember you saw it here first. :o)
