Good afternoon,
I am looking for any advice that can give me direction on if I am able to remove/repair the sidelights on my existing door. I have attached the picture of what looks like the weather stripping inside the glass has failed. My question is, after examining the picture, would I be able to remove the glass pane and secure the weather stripping and replace? Or is this some sort of prefab setup that I only will be able to repair by replacing the full sidelight glass? Defintely a newbie and if any extra information is required, please just ask.

Try again with the picture -- it's hard to get it right the first time on this creaky platform.
It's acting like the pic is posted, but I agree that I dont see it when I preview?
Kind of hard to make out from that picture. I gather that the frame is all plastic, and it looks like the outside part has warped. It's a little unusual if only the upper part has warped, since generally the lower part would go first, since that's what the sun beats on the hardest. If this is the case then it might be possible to remove and replace the outside frame without having to replace the glass, but likely you'll have to take out the entire sidelight assembly to do it.
But you say that it looks like "the weather stripping inside the glass has failed", suggesting that what we see is the spacer between the panes of the insulated glass bulging inwards. If this is the case the insulated glass pane needs to be replaced.
HI there, get in touch with a good local glass company. There are very few windows and doors that they cannot replace the glass panels in sucessfully and cost-effectively. I have seen this same issue on lower end door units with insulated glass. Good luck.
