I’m about to run a 4″ PVC drain pipe under my stone foundation wall into a sump pump inside. I was wondering if I should encase the pipe in concrete to offset any weight from the wall or just lay the pipe in crushed stone. Incidentally, the pipe will be between 8-10″ below the foundation wall because of the grade. Gabe, you’ve been of enormous assistance in my other postings and I’m sure you will probably have some comments about this.

How about a short section of 5" square steel tubing?
Am assuming your pipe is perpundicular to foundation
*Morning Tom,As Nathan pointed out, you can sleeve it or as you suggested, buy a couple of bags of premixed concrete and pour over the PVC pipe and then backfill it.Looks like your little project is coming along.Gabe
*Thanks, Nathan, Gabe.Maybe I will get this project done this summer after all!Tom
*If it's sched 40 PVC I don't think you have anything to worry about. Or go, with the Sac-crete.
