Drilling holes in HARD tile
These bits REALLY work. Just drilled a 1½” hole in impervious (hospital grade) tile in under a minute! Plain water for lubrication–just build a “dam” around the area with florist’s clay.
Priced quite reasonably as well…

I don't have a roto-zip, have/had the dewalt version, until its cheapazz broke one to many times and I didnt bother to fix it again
Have yet to replace it.
Been cautious of the actual roto-zip because of the as seen on tv stigma. I'm guessing it gets your vote of confidence?View ImageGo Jayhawks

I recently got the 12 Rotozip the same way you like to get tools - in the discount section of HD.
Use it for drywall, & today threw in a flush trimming bit & cleaned up some iron-on edging. NOt QUITE big enough a support for that, but...
Nice tool.Quality repairs for your home.

St Louis won and they have clinched a spot in the play-offs! but.... I suspect as ususal they will not get far.
More importantly Kansas beat Duke last night, and moves on to great 8, Bring on Arizona.. I was up because I had just come home from the bar after watching the game and celebrating the win. Though its not unusual for me to be up to about 2, sometimes 3 doing homeworkView ImageGo Jayhawks
CAG.Yeh its the real deal.and I love it"As long as you have certain desires about how it ought to be you can't see how it is." http://CLIFFORDRENOVATIONS.COM
roto zip has been around long before they started the infomercials. Of course they did start building them cheaper about then
I have an early roto zip, heavy old thing that I've had for about 20 yrs. and one that's only a coupla a years old. like the orginal the best.
Then again the only thing I use them for is hanging drywall. That they work great for They haven't replaced any other tools, despite what the infomercial says. <g>

not thru any tiles of any substantial hardness...
unless U got some super bit I can't find. Tried in vain to get the carbide "tile" bit....1/4 shank..thru some tile about a year ago....burnt the bit and barely scratched the tile.
What kinda tile are ya cutting..and probably more important.....which zip bit?
I'd love to think mine would work.....but doubt it from what I saw.

I never had a reason to cut floor tiles with it but cutting out around water valves or to put in an outlet in walls mine seems to cut with no problem. "As long as you have certain desires about how it ought to be you can't see how it is." http://CLIFFORDRENOVATIONS.COM
roto zip tile bits will not cut floor tiles.
gauranteed!
